Who We Are

Oakridge Lutheran Church is a congregation of the British Columbia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC).

Oakridge Lutheran Church is a multi-ethnic congregation, celebrating worship in English, Mandarin, and German. We are located in Southwest Vancouver across from the Oakridge Shopping Center, at 585 West 41st Avenue, just west of Cambie Street. Our church building was dedicated on July 8, 1956 by the Icelandic Evangelical Lutheran Church of Vancouver. It has a seating capacity of 130 people.

In the fall of 2000, we started a mission outreach to Mandarin speaking people who are widely represented in the Vancouver area. They have become a substantial part of our congregation.

We welcome children in our Sunday school and look forward to renewed youth activities. We rejoice with our choir which enhances our worship of God.  We offer Bible studies during the week and on Sunday mornings.  We have an active women’s group which supports the congregation with various projects.
